Richard Taylor

Richard is a landscape designer with a wealth of experience, whose work is inspired by an enduring love of nature.  Combining an intuitive approach to design, with a deep-rooted knowledge of British native plants, he creates sustainable, ecologically-considered gardens and landscapes that blend seamlessly into their natural surroundings.

Richard’s combined love of naturalistic environments, architecture, travel and wild places, informs his unique and timeless style. He has a flair for creating planting combinations that enhance the landscape and bring a natural harmony to every project. Blended with a formality of structure, his masterplans reflect the rare combination of experienced designer and knowledgeable plantsman.

Richard studied Environmental Science and Biology at Cardiff University before completing a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture at Sheffield.

He is the Design Director at Taylor Tripp, which he co-founded with Nick in 1996.
