Nicholas Tripp of Taylor Tripp

Nicholas Tripp

Director

Biography

With a reputation for creating beautiful, timeless gardens, Nick has much experience working in landscape design, specialising in elegant country gardens and landscapes, that combine traditional design principles, with romantic, naturalistic planting.

As Managing Director of Taylor Tripp, which he co-founded with Richard in 1996, he is very much involved in all aspects of the practice. Nick is often the first person a new client will meet and he remains involved throughout the design process, often undertaking landscape management visits once the garden has been completed. He believes passionately that a successful garden is one that responds not only to the surrounding landscape, but to the architecture and history of the place, creating a harmony between the house and garden.

Nick began his career in accountancy but, having been inspired by a childhood spent in the garden and a life-long love of nature, went on to study Landscape Design at the English Gardening School, under the guidance of Rosemary Alexander and Anthony du Gard Pasley. Passionate about sharing his knowledge, he has lectured both at the English Gardening School and at West Green House in Hampshire.
