New Cottage Orné

We often work in collaboration with architects and interior designers. For this project we worked alongside Adam Architecture who designed this beautiful Cottage Orné for which we created an extensive new garden.

Our masterplan was designed to enhance the Regency Gothic characteristics of the house and draw all of elements of the garden together. We introduced a potager and a new shade parterre and added a framework of pleached Hornbeams to create an intimate area on one side of the house. The formal garden to the rear of the property was planted with Roses, herbaceous plants and formal hedges to add colour, scent and interest throughout the seasons.

The original, sinuous, drive was moved to focus the approach, symmetrically, upon the front door of the property. To make the approach more impressive, we planted a semi-mature Horse Chestnut Avenue. This allowed parking to be moved to the sides of the house, thus de-cluttering the beautiful facade upon arrival.
