Richard Taylor was awarded a BSc Honours degree in Environmental Science and Biology at Cardiff University and then completed a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture at Sheffield University.
Working part-time with Nicholas Tripp during his studies and establishing a developing client base, in 1996 they formed the partnership that is Taylor Tripp and have never looked back. Both Richard and Nicholas have been priviledged enough to work, with clients, on some amazing projects both in the UK and abroad.
Richard's environmental background, combined with his keen knowledge of native species and their habitats, creates sustainable, ecologically considered gardens that blend seemlessly into the landscape.
He is very involved with all of the designs and invests great attention to detail, working closely with the client and other professionals to achieve the best results.
Richard has a lifelong passion for architecture and gardens, being inspired by design legends, such as Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, Edwin Lutyens, Gertrude Jekyll, Russell Page, Rosemary Verey and many more. Such influences and a love of wild environments, have conspired to create Richard's unique and timeless style.
