We were pleased to receive a 5 star award for our garden design for Alitex Glasshouses at Chelsea 2017. Not a bad achievemnet, considering many of our plants were badly damaged by frost txwo weeks before, forcing us to reconsider some of the planting schemes!

However, as ever, it all came together very happily, enhanced by the beautiful Alitex glasshouses and the Stark and Greensmith corten wall panels, which worked extremely well with the orange Geum 'Totally Tangerine'.

Yet again, Taylor Tripp celebrated success, with Alitex Glasshouses, at The Chelsea Flowershow 2016. We were very pleased to have received the RHS Director General's Award, for her favourite planting. Not a bad acheivement out of 600 exhibits at the show!

We felt this was a particular achievement, given the difficult spring. Most of our original choice of plants had to be replaced. The cold weather had meant that few of the plants would be flowering for the show and even some of those that showed promise in the new scheme, turned up tightly in bud! Last minute attempts to keep them warm in the handy and very smart Alitex glasshouses on the stand, failed to encourage them to share their splendid colours.

Our beautiful Malus 'Peter's Red', on the other hand, decided they would burst into flower the day they arrived on the stand, given the warm final build up week. Sadly, by the day the show opened, their blooms had all but faded and dropped. The joys of nature and the the challenges of Chelsea!

Still, the feedback was good and it is nice to know your efforts are appreciated at this great garden spectacle.
